Hair@Bedford was founded in 2012 by mother-and-daughter team Anneline Smalman and Belinda, with a shared vision of creating more than just a salon. They wanted a welcoming space where every client feels valued, cared for, and leaves looking and feeling their best.
What began as a small owner-operated salon has grown into one of Bedfordview's trusted hair, beauty, and grooming destinations. Today, our talented team of hairstylists, beauty professionals, and the dedicated Barber@Bedford team continue to deliver the same passion, professionalism, and personalised service that have been at the heart of our business from the very beginning.

My Journey & Expertise
At the heart of Hair@Bedford is my passion for the craft of hairdressing — a passion that began long before the salon opened its doors. I completed my professional training under Paul Fox of the renowned Paul James Hairdressing Studio, where I developed a strong foundation in precision, creativity and innovation. This early experience shaped not only my technical expertise, but also my belief that great hairdressing is a balance of skill, artistry and truly understanding the person in the chair.Over the years, I have continued to challenge myself within the industry, building extensive experience and participating in numerous hairdressing competitions. Each chapter of my journey has brought new knowledge, fresh inspiration and an even deeper commitment to my craft.
But in an industry that never stands still, experience alone is not enough.
As trends change, techniques advance and new products emerge, I believe in continuing to learn, evolve and grow. That belief extends to the entire Hair@Bedford team.
